SBBC Executive Lounge 2025 – Strengthening Ties and Exploring Opportunities
SBBC hosted its first Executive Lounge of the year—an inspiring evening focused on the current situation and business potential in Bangladesh.
We were honored to welcome Her Excellency Wahida Ahmed, the new Ambassador of Bangladesh to Sweden, in her first appearance with the Swedish business community. She delivered a thoughtful and engaging presentation on Bangladesh’s political and economic landscape, emphasizing opportunities in green and renewable energy and her ambition to connect youth entrepreneurs from Bangladesh with Swedish networks.
Emma Broms from Business Sweden shared a data-driven outlook on Bangladesh’s rapid growth and highlighted priority sectors for Swedish companies, including apparel, pharmaceuticals, food processing, renewable energy, as well as the fast-growing software and BPO industries. She also presented the Sustainable Fashion Platform by Sweden, supporting decarbonization and policy collaboration through Nordic partnerships.
SBBC Chair Nathalie Tranefeldt warmly welcomed all participants, gave an overview of SBBC’s work in promoting trade and partnerships between Sweden and Bangladesh, and skillfully moderated the evening’s program and discussion.
With Bangladesh’s expanding workforce and over 50 Swedish companies already active there, the potential for deeper collaboration is real and growing.
Thank you to all our speakers, guests, and partners for making the evening a true success!
