Dear Members,

I would like to begin by thanking you all for your engagement throughout 2025. It is through our members that Sweden Bangladesh Business Council gains its relevance, content, and energy.

As a Board, our role is to support you as members by creating meeting platforms and sharing relevant and professional insights that can be of value in your work related to Bangladesh. Through your participation in our activities, valuable dialogue and experience-sharing are created, while also enabling us as a Board to further develop relevant and in-demand initiatives for you as members.

We now look ahead to 2026, which promises to be a very interesting year from the outset—not least due to the election in Bangladesh in February and its significance for the country’s continued development, business environment, and international cooperation.

During the spring, we are planning several activities for our members, including initiatives within life sciences, roundtable discussions on tariffs and trade, updates on the situation in Bangladesh following the election, Business in South Asia, as well as our Annual General Meeting. We will return with more information on dates and formats over the coming month.

I hope you are looking forward to an active and rewarding 2026, and I personally look forward to meeting you in various contexts throughout the year.
