The Sweden-Bangladesh Business Council (SBBC) held its 11th Annual General Meeting on Thursday 19th May 2022 at Svensk Handel in Stockholm.
SBBC’s President, Nathalie Tranefeldt, welcomed the members to the Annual General Meeting. The meeting commenced with the unanimous approval of the agenda and other formalities.
Mizanur Khan took the floor and acted as meeting chairman.

Nathalie presented the Annual Report for the year 2022, highlighting the events and underlining the achievements of the Council. She emphasised that Bangladesh is developing rapidly and positively in many respects, which means that the opportunities for Swedish companies are great, and their presence is increasing every year. Apart from RMG, greentech, IT, environmental engineering, sustainable infrastructure, health, pharmaceutical and manufacturing production, agro processing and education are prioritised and interesting areas for Swedish companies and industry. SBBC has built a good network and base to facilitate its members and network in doing business with and in Bangladesh.

The Auditor’s Report on financial statement for the year, which ended 31st December 2021 was presented for the members. Amirul Huda audited SBBC accounts for the year 2021. The Auditor’s Report was adopted by the members.
The AGM elected a new Executive Board and President for the next two years 2022-2024. Abdullah Yousef, Strativ AB, was elected as new member of the Board and Nathalie Tranefeldt, Hifab International AB, was elected as President. Maria Sandow, Svensk Handel, Bo Gunterberg, Base of Trade AB, Christer Dyrwoold, Scoreline Management AB, Michael Sepehri, Utsikt Ekonomi AB, Anders Tofte, Business Sweden, and Inger Wijnbladh were re-elected as board members.

The AGM also appointed Amirul Huda, Global Enterprise, as the Statutory Auditor of SBBC and Maria Sandow together with Anders Tofte were elected to the Nomination Committee for the year 2022-2023.
After the AGM, participants were invited to an authentic Bangladeshi three course dinner at Restaurant Gossip in Vasastan.
